66. LJUBLJANA FESTIVAL
Date: 28.6. – 3.9.
Location: Numerous elite locations in Ljubljana and its surrounding, even Ljubljanica River
Main location: Summer theater Križanke this festival with a long tradition.
With opera, concerts, musicals, ballet shows, etc., Ljubljana Festival has a enormous impact on the cultural life in Ljubljana during the summer. Everybody can find something they like, even children their creative workshops.
JAZZ STAGE
Date: 29.6. – 17.8.
Location: Stari trg square
Free concerts by Slovene and aother international jazz groups will take part Friday nigts.
SUMMER IN TIVOLI
Date: 3.7. – 31.7.
Location: municipal park Tivoli
This year even culture enthusiasts will have no excuse to escape from summer heat to park Tivoli.
Rich array of cultural events (concerts, guided tours through exhibitions, open movies) will take part at Tivoli Mansion and Creative center Švicarija.
ANA DESETNICA – Street theater festival
Date: 4.7. – 7.7.
Location: Prešeren Square, parks and streets of inner city center
Jugglers, clowns, circus performers, street artists, tightrope walker, musicians and many other will again take the streets of Ljubljana. Their free shows will present popular and creative streams of the street theater.
FILM UNDER THE STARS – Summer cinema on Ljubljana castle
Date: 5.7.-28.7. (movie starts at 21:30)
Location: Ljubljana castle courtyard
The most resounding films of previous season, premiers and avant-premiers will be broadcasted on the starry open-air cinema. Ideal chance to take an evening walk to the top of Ljubljana hill, which will be awarded with a view of Ljubljana lights and its surrounding.
Many Ljubljana bars, museums and associations organizes free concerts, open exhibitions, sport events and mini festivals lasting only couple days awhich are also worthed to visit/take part at:
